Questions

  1. How do I register my child for this trip?

  • You can register online at https://tri.ps/WxHmW (Capitalization matters when typing in the link, type it exactly as it reads) by clicking on the menu and selecting Make a Payment and complete the information. Further information can be found on the last page of this packet.

  1. What does the cost include?

The trip cost includes everything except the first meal on the way (probably at a fast food restaurant) and souvenirs.   On the way home students will receive $10 to eat at a food court or travel mall. This will be close to the amount needed to get a typical meal at these restaurants, so students might want a little extra just in case. I would think that $30-$40 or so would cover it. Breakfast will be all you can eat at the hotel all three mornings.

What are some of the activities included in the trip?

You will find the 2025 trip initial itinerary attached to this handout.  This itinerary is subject to change.

  1. Supervision?

Mr. Creviston and Mr. Young will be chaperoning, along with additional staff members to be determined at a later time.  We will also have at least one Trip Advisor from Martin School Travel to help with tickets and logistics as needed, who will travel with us. Also, a Licensed Washington D.C. tour guide will be provided where appropriate to provide information about tour stops.   A security guard will be present on the hotel floor from 10:00 pm until 6:00 am each night in the hotel.

       4. Please contact me if your child has food allergies so we create a plan.

    5. DISCIPLINARY ACTION: One of the most important traits education should teach is self-discipline.  It does not appear as a subject, but it is the foundation for the whole structure of the school, as well as society.  Excessive detentions or other discipline issues may cause a student to be excluded from school activities, such as dances, field trips, sporting events, etc.  This will be at the discretion of the principal.

*Areas of concern are drugs, alcohol, tobacco, weapons, theft, insubordination.

 6. If I have questions, who do I contact?

Please contact Mr. Creviston by email.  His email is [email protected]   If you are unable to email him, you can call the main office at 740-756-9231 and leave a message.
