Bloom-Carroll High School Career Fair

Written by FFA Reporter, Sadie Moore

In November, the Bloom-Carroll FFA and Student Council members hosted the first Bloom-Carroll High School Career Fair. The FFA Career Success Committee, chaired by members Garret Noland and Grace Miller, planned this event.

BC graduate and FFA alum, Ben Burns, met with the committee and provided guidance as part of his leadership capstone project for The Ohio State University.

The career fair took place during high school lunch periods. Students had the opportunity to learn about a variety of careers and network with professionals and industry leaders representing over 30 career fields! Many of these representatives were Bloom-Carroll graduates. As students entered the career fair, they were given a card with all the careers represented. If students visited with at least three different careers and received initials from the representatives, they were entered into a drawing for prizes.

Plans to grow this event are already underway for next year.

A big thank you to all individuals who participated in this year's event.
