AG Day is an event run by members of our Bloom-Carroll FFA chapter. During this day, students in grades K-5 travel to the high school arboretum for a day of outdoor learning and fun. This year, students had the opportunity to learn about different breeds of cows, horses, goats, rabbits, chickens and alpacas as well as different types of farming equipment used today by our local farmers.
Throughout the week leading up to AG Day, students at BCES participated in a classroom food drive competition to support the Shalom Food Pantry. This year's competition between the classes was a great success! Between all grade levels competing, over 4,175 items were donated during this year's food drive. The class that had the most items donated overall, with 340 total items, was Mrs. Gregory's second grade class.
During AG Day, several FFA members also participated in a community service project donating homemade flower bouquets to the local nursing home, Arbors of Carroll, to celebrate Mother's Day weekend.
Overall AG Day 2023 was a huge success and the members of our FFA chapter can't wait until next year!
