Trip Date: Wednesday NOVEMBER 4 2020 thru 7 2020
Trip Cost: Whether the cost is $685 or $710 depends on the number of students per bus. If there are approximately 35 students or more on all buses the cost is $685, if there are fewer than 35 on any of the buses the price will be $710. For example, if we have 101-104 students we will need three buses, but they will not all have 35 or more students so we would pay the higher price.
Last Payment: Due by September 4th, 2020. Please do not pay over $685 until the final price is determined. Pay up to the $685 and when we know the final price you can pay the extra $25 if the buses are not “full” at that time. This avoids the need for any refunds.
Registration Deadline: September 4, 2020 (Full payment is due that day)
Payment Information: $200.00 deposit due at the time of registration. Payment due dates are on the registration page.
1. How do I register my child for this trip?
Register online at Registration and click the green "select" tab and you will be guided through the registration and payment process. Pleae read the Trip Protection Information.
2. What does the cost include?
The trip cost includes everything except the first meal on the way (probably at a food court or fast food restaurants) and souvenirs. Students will be given $10 cash for lunch and dinner at a food court on Saturday and $15 at the Capitol Café on Friday. On the way home, students will receive $10 to eat at a food court or travel mall. This will be close to the amount needed to get a typical meal at these restaurants, so students might want a little extra just in case. I would think that $20 or so would cover it. Breakfast will be all you can eat at the hotel all three mornings. Dinner on Thursday and Friday evenings will be all you can eat.
3. What are some of the activities included in the trip?
There is a tentative itinerary below
4. What chaperones are planning on going?
Mr. Creviston, Mr. Matchett, Mrs. Johnson will be chaperoning the trip. We will add staff chaperones as needed based on the total number of students traveling. We will also have a Trip Advisor from Martin School Travel to help with tickets and logistics as needed who will travel with us. A Licensed Washington D.C. tour guide will lead us, where appropriate, to provide information about tour stops. A security guard will be present on the hotel floor from 10:00 pm until 6:00 am both nights.
5. If I have questions, who do I contact?
Mr. Creviston by email. His e-mail is [email protected]
If you are unable to e-mail him you can
call the main office at 740-756-9231 and leave a message.
6. Will there be a meeting to learn more? There was an optional parent meeting for anyone interested in getting information on 9/25/19. This meeting was NOT mandatory.
