5th Grade Orientation Schedule

5th Grade Orientation Schedule

5th Grade Parents and Parents of New Students:

Welcome to Bloom Carroll Middle School. Although we still have some time before the next school year begins we want to make sure parents have the information regarding 5th grade orientation and locker night.  The change to Middle School is a big change for students and parents but rest assured we will do everything we can to make the transition as smooth as possible.  We are looking forward to the upcoming year and feel extremely fortunate to be working with a great group of students, families, and staff members.

You are invited to join us on Thursday August 15th 2019 for Fifth Grade Locker Night & Orientation. Please look closely at the agenda below.

4:30- 5:30 – The Middle School Building will be OPEN for parents and students to explore and complete the following tasks:  (You do NOT need to be here right at 4:30)

=         Pick up a schedule in the cafeteria

=         Go to the student’s locker to practice the combination and put materials inside

=         Walk around and explore the building

=         Enjoy a hot dog and drink – compliments of the PTO – The PTO will also have water bottles and candy bars for sale, and a raffle.  You may also join the PTO for $1.  Your support is greatly appreciated.

5:30-5:45 – Parents and Students:  Informational meeting in the MS auditorium – Starting promptly at 5:30

5:50-6:15 – Students will go to their INTERVENTION CLASS as listed on the schedule they receive and remain in that classroom – the teacher in that room will cover all the information you will need for 5th grade classes.  Please note, the rooms become very crowded so we ask that only 5th grade students and parents attend if at all possible.

6:15-6:45 – Additional time for students to go to lockers and visit their other classrooms.

We are looking forward to meeting you and working together as we support the Bloom Carroll Middle School community. We hope you enjoy the final days of summer!

*If you are a new student to the district in grades 6-8 please attend between 4:30 to 5:30 to get your locker information and tour the building.

Sincerely,

Chad Young, Principal

Scott Matchett, Assistant Principal

Jamie Johnson, Guidance Counselor
