Bloom-Carroll: Student Resources
BLOOM-CARROLL LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT
This year the High School and Middle School students will be using Schoology as part of their learning. There are two ways students can access Schoology from any computer with Internet access.
From the Bloom Carroll Home Page, click on Resources, Student Resources, Schoology. Enter the full email address of the student and their email password. This method uses Google Single Sign On so the log in page will appear just like a Google page. One thing to note about this method. No other user can currently be logged into a Google account for this to work.
From any computer that has Internet access.
1. Open a web browser and type www.schoology.com
2. Type the username in the form of first name.last name + grad year (i.e. joe.clark19) and enter the students password of bc+student id (i.e. bc123456)
3. Enter the Zip Code of 43112 and choose the correct school and click log in
Method Two does not rely on Google Integration and should work with any browser. If your child still experiences issues with logging in, please have them contact the IT department.
Bloom-Carroll Local School District is enrolled as a Microsoft EES school district which allows us to freely distribute the latest version of the Microsoft Office Suite of products to all students who attend.
Each student is entitled to install Office on 5 devices. The Office software will remain activated for the length of the time the student is enrolled at Bloom-Carroll Local School District and we remain EES customers.
Interested students need to contact the IT Department to request a login / password to download the software.
Requests should be made by emailing email@example.com using the subject
line MICROSOFT OFFICE REQUEST. Emails are typically answered within two business days.
Bloom-Carroll Local School District accepts no responsibility for the installation, configuration and use of this software.
Students can access the school districts wireless network on personally owned equipment. Students who wish to utilize this service should connect their personal devices to the BC-BYOD network. Students will need to log in to this network by typing either bc\computer username and password or just their computer username and password, depending on the model of device the student owns. Students will also need to accept the trust certificate if prompted to do so. Please follow your schools guidelines for use of personal devices.
Student ProgressBook Access
Students who do not currently have a student ProgressBook account need to contact the IT department to obtain the required registration code. Students and parents each have separate accounts, and students should not use their parents account to access ProgressBook. The IT department is staffed M-F from 7:00-3:30 and any technician can help set up your account. Middle School Students can request an account through Mrs. Johnson in the Guidance Office. High School Students can request their account directly through the IT department.
