Each Friday at BCES it is "Reading Buddy Friday." Third grade students in Mrs. Kern's classroom have paired up with kindergarten students in Mrs. Hannah's, Mrs. Paddock's, Mrs. Ricks', and Mrs. Lombardo's classes.
Every month, each 3rd grade student selects two books to read to their kindergarten buddy. This is a great opportunity for our younger students to demonstrate fluency in reading, model good reading skills, and develop social and emotional skills such as patience and empathy as they work with their reading buddies. Great job by all!
