The need for substitutes is always present; however, the challenges of the pandemic have increased the need for substitute teachers and support staff. Our district will continue to require substitute teachers to hold a bachelor’s degree, for now, even though ODE is temporarily issuing 1-year substitute teaching licenses without holding a bachelor’s degree. Substitutes must meet all background check requirements.
