Read Across America Week at BC Primary
Read Across AMerica
Bloom-Carroll Primary School celebrated Dr. Seuss’s birthday earlier this month with a fun-filled week of activities.  Each day of the week, a different Dr. Seuss book was featured over the morning announcements with a special quote and a mystery reader sharing the story aloud with the entire building. One highlight of the week was arrival of the high school basketball team stopping by to share some of their favorite Dr. Seuss stories by reading aloud to our young Bulldogs. The celebratory week wrapped up as students and staff joined together in the gym to read silently for “D.E.A.R.” time...Drop Everything And Read.

In addition to Read Across America activities, students also participated in a Read-A-Thon to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. By the end of the week, students raised over $1,600.00! Thank you to our Read Across America Committee for making this a special event for our students and for all those individuals who made donations to this worthy cause.
