BCES Art & Music Festival
ARt

The Bloom-Carroll Art and Music Festival was held on April 25th at the Bloom-Carroll Elementary School. Over 3,000 pieces of artwork were on display, including a self-portrait from every student and even some staff members! Each student had the opportunity to select a piece of their artwork to put in the art show. The rest of their artwork was placed into a portfolio for their parents to pick up at the end of the evening.

In addition, each student had a piece of their artwork on display in the Glow Room:

  • Kindergarten: Clay sand dollars

  • 1st Grade: Clay Starfish

  • 2nd Grade: Fish

  • 3rd Grade: Sea Urchins

  • 4th Grade: Clay and Canvas Seashells

  • 5th Grade: Clay Coral Reefs

In addition to the art show, there were also concerts performed by our 2nd grade and 5th grade students directed by the music teacher, Hannah Mullins. Each class sang two songs inspired by a movie. The students did an excellent job and the entertainment was great between the music from the DJ. Special thanks to the Bloom-Carroll Music Boosters for donating the money for the DJ!

The classroom teachers put together fantastic baskets to be raffled along with community donations. This year the raffle was online making it easier to streamline the money and tickets. The school raised over $6,000 for the teachers in the raffle in addition to the donations from our food trucks that attended as well. Thanks to all of the volunteers who helped make this event incredible again this year!
