Instructional Delivery Methods During Closure

The District will be utilizing online lessons by posting assignments on our website (Grades K-4) and through Schoology (Grades 5-12), the District’s learning management system during the school closure period. 


METHOD OF INSTRUCTIONAL DELIVERY: ONLINE LESSONS

  • Grades K-4 (Primary & Intermediate Schools)

    • Teachers will prepare grade level lessons to be posted on our website under the Calamity Days and Blizzard Bag tab.  To learn more about Calamity Days and Blizzard Bag assigments, click here.  

  • Grades 5-12 (Middle & High Schools)

    • Teachers will prepare online lessons using Schoology. 


SCHEDULE OF ONLINE LESSONS/ASSIGNMENTS

We will continue with our previous calamity day make-up plan for 2019-2020 utilizing the online make-up assignments for the fifth (5th) and eighth (8th) calamity days; these lessons are already prepared and posted.  Online lessons will be posted daily beginning with the eighth (8th) calamity day through the end of the long-term school closure.

  • Monday, March 16, 2020 (Calamity Day #4)

    • No student assignment.

    • Staff will be working to prepare online lessons.

  • Tuesday, March 17, 2020 (Calamity Day #5)

    • Students access and complete online lessons.

    • Staff will be working from home to prepare online lessons.

  • Wednesday, March 18, 2020 (Calamity Day #6)

    • No student assignment.

    • Staff will be working from home to prepare online lessons.

  • Thursday, March 19, 2020 (Calamity Day #7)

    • No student assignment.

    • Staff will be working from home to prepare online lessons.

  • Friday, March 20, 2020 through Friday, April 3, 2020 (Calamity Day #8-18)

    • Students access and complete online lessons daily.

    • Staff will be working from home to prepare online lessons through Thursday, April 2, 2020.  All staff returns on Friday, April 3, 2020.
