Information for Incoming 5th Grade and NEW Students
Dear 5th Grade Parents and Parents of New Students:


Welcome to Bloom Carroll Middle School.  This has certainly been an interesting five months.  As you know, any plans can certainly change but below is information regarding 5th grade and NEW Student orientation and locker night.  We will be doing things slightly different this year than in previous years.  In a regular year, the switch to Middle School is a big change for students and parents.  This year may be even more challenging but rest assured we will do everything we can to make the transition as smooth as possible.  We are looking forward to the upcoming year and feel extremely fortunate to be working with a great group of students, families, and staff members.

You are invited to join us on Thursday August 20th 2020 for Fifth Grade Orientation. Please look closely at the agenda below.

= 5:00 – 5:30 – 5th Grade Students with last name that starts with A thru G (58 students) report to your 9th period “Intervention” class.  It will be the room number on your schedule for 9th period. 

= 5:45 – 6:15 - 5th Grade Students with last name that starts with H thru M (59 students) report to your 9th period “Intervention” class.  It will be the room number on your schedule for 9th period. 

= 6:30 – 7:00 - 5th Grade Students with last name that starts with N thru Z (56 students) report to your 9th period “Intervention” class.  It will be the room number on your schedule for 9th period. 

           Students will pick up their schedule by the cafeteria, go to their locker and then to their 9th period classroom for an informational meeting.

 

  •      NEW STUDENTS - Report to the Middle at 7:00pm to the Middle School cafeteria via the main entrance.

    = Upon arrival, students pick up their schedule in the cafeteria - schedules will also have their locker numbers

    = Mr. Young and/or Mr. Matchett will be there to welcome you and answer any questions

    = We will give everyone a quick tour of the building

    = Students then go to their locker to put any materials inside

Masks are required for this event.  We also ask that you adhere closely to the times above and students bring only ONE parent or guardian.
