Sheila, a 7-year-old Irish setter therapy dog, is one of our newest staff members at Bloom-Carroll Elementary School.
Shelia works alongside Miss Jablonski, our elementary school social worker, and visits classrooms on Mondays and Thursdays each week to help support students' well being and to help foster a sense of belonging at school.
Therapy dogs such as Shelia can help children learn social skills, reduce stress and anxiety, and can even facilitate learning.
We are excited to have Sheila on our team!
