Geology Students Explore Hocking HIlls
Hocking Hills
On April 20th, Mrs. Snyder and her CCP Geology students took a field trip to Hocking Hills. While they were there, they enjoyed the nice weather and visited Conkles Hollow, Rock House, Mar-Zane gravel pit and the Written Rock outcrop at Clear Creek Metro Park. They had fun learning about the Blackhand sandstone and erosional landforms at the different locations. They also studied the glacial geology of Ohio including the glacial outwash in the Hocking River Valley and the Pleistocene river drainage reversal in Ohio.
