Dear Parents and Students,
On behalf of the staff at Bloom Carroll Middle School, I am happy to welcome you to the 2020-2021 school year! It has been a crazy five months and we all look forward to the time we are back to normal. Even though this year will look different we will do everything in our power to ensure all students are given the opportunity and skills to reach their highest potential.
You have received information on the Bloom-Carroll Local School District’s Plan of Action to Reset and Restart Education and it is also posted on the school website. Please review this plan if you have not already done so.
As we move through the year, parents are encouraged to check their child’s Schoology account, agenda book, as well as ProgressBook to monitor your child’s grades. You’re invited to visit the school website at www.bloomcarroll.org as these and many other resources are posted there. Additionally, several documents with helpful information can be found in the “Documents and Handbooks” section on the front page of the BC Website. These documents include supply lists, 5th grade orientation info, student handbook, etc. Also, if you go to “Schools” then click “Middle School” there is additional information posted such as the Staff Directory, Food Service Info, PTO information, etc. Schedules will be given to 5th grade students and new students August 20th. Returning students in grades 6-8 can see their schedules on ProgressBook Friday, August 21st. We will also hand out finalized schedules on the first student days.
We look forward to working with you and your family. The first day of school for students is now August 24th for Group 1 (A-K). Group 2 (L-Z) will begin on August 25th. Please see additional information on the following page. As always feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
