Governor DeWine’s recent announcement closing all Ohio schools for the remainder of 2019-2020 leaves all of us contemplating the next steps as we navigate through these difficult times.
There is not a script or a “playbook” for students, staff, or parents for dealing with a crisis of this magnitude. Our staff members are working hard to support our students instructionally and emotionally. Our commitment to our students, families, and each other will continue.
We have been working on plans to continue with lessons while we also move forward with a path to finalize the 2019-2020 school year. Teachers will continue to develop lessons and students will continue to engage in Distance/Online lessons through the following dates:
- Grade 12/Seniors: May 15, 2020
- The target date for the final submission of assignments for seniors will be communicated by teachers.
- Grades K-11: May 20, 2020
- The target date for the final submission of assignments is Friday, May 22, 2020.
Our teachers will continue working through May 29, 2020 to communicate with any student or parent to finalize grades and bring closure to this school year.
