Gordon Korman is our featured author for February. He has written over 80 books for kids and teens.  Mrs. Henwood’s new favorite Korman book is Jingle, the latest in his popular mystery series, Swindle.  He has written books for the 39 Clues series, and several series of his own, including Island and Everest.

Mr. Korman actually had his first published novel in 7th grade. He started it as a writing assignment in English, and since he helped with the Scholastic book orders for his class, he decided to send it to Scholastic. They agreed to publish This can’t be Happening at McDonald Hall, and the rest as they say is history.

Our Winter Book Fair will take place Monday February 13 through Friday, February 17.  Students will have the opportunity to shop at Book Fair during their library special during the week and parents may also shop on Thursday night during parent-teacher conferences.

BCIS students are also looking forward to our Right to Read Week, February 27 through March 3.Our theme will be Camp Out with a Good Book.
