Art Students Recognized
This past Saturday the Regional Judging for the Governor's Youth Art Exhibition took place at Amanda Clearcreek High School. BCHS had a total of five pieces selected to compete at the state level (which will be held this Saturday March 11th in Hilliard). Being selected for the state judging is a very prestigious honor…the state of Ohio is divided up into 15 regions for the purposes of this competition. A total of approximately 12,000 pieces of artwork are submitted for the regional judging. From those 12,000 entries only a total of 2,500 statewide are selected to enter the final judging. State jurors then select only 300 for the actual exhibition, which takes place in the James Rhodes Office Tower in Columbus.
Please congratulate the following finalists when you see them:
Emma Kessel - Ceramic Sculpture
Nikki Goodman - Ceramic Sculpture
Hunter Nessley - Digital Photography
Alex Slagle - Digital Photography
Nicole Bradbury - Digital Art
BCHS 2017 Science Fair Competition
BCHS hosted its annual science fair competition today with 179 students participating in this year's event. Students did an outstanding job putting forth their best effort during this morning's competition.
Open House is scheduled for tonight (2/28/17) from 5:30pm - 6:00pm. The Awards Ceremony will start promptly at 6:00pm in the high school gymnasium.
A special thank you to the 49 community members that volunteered their time and experience today to judge this year's science fair projects. Also, we would like to thank Science Fair Advisors, Mrs. Gudde, Mrs. Haughn, and Mr. Carter for another successful science fair at Bloom-Carroll High School.
