College Credit Plus Intent Forms Due March 31st
ATTENTION ANY STUDENT INTERESTED IN COLLEGE CREDIT CLASSES AT BCHS OR IN ATTENDING CLASSES AT A COLLEGE CAMPUS.

The College Credit Plus program combines any programs in which students can earn transcripted college credits while in high school. An information and counseling session was held on February 13th in the MS auditorium at 6:30 pm for interested parents and students.

Other than planning to attend a college campus, courses at BCHS which will require this are;
a. Precalculus CCP
b. Spanish 4 CCP
c. English 12 CCP
d. Advanced Ceramics 1 and 2
e. Geology CCP

Students who wish to earn the college credits for these courses or college courses taken online or at a CCP participating college/university will have to turn in the Intent to Participate form by March 31st in order to qualify.

ABC Grant Available

The purpose of the Anderson/Black/Community (ABC) Mini-Scholarship is to assist in funding a Christian Mission trip or a Christian Mission project.  Eligible applicants include Bloom-Carroll students in grades 9 through 12, current staff, administrators, or retired staff with at least five years of service to the Bloom-Carroll Local School District.
Two grants of $750 each will be awarded annually, one in each of the areas listed.  Selection will be based on leadership, community service, letters of reference, and an essay.  Applications are available on the BCHS Guidance website, or from the BCHS Guidance office, and are due to be returned there by April 1.

Career Cruising

BCHS students now have access to Career Cruising, a website with multiple tools to assist students in their high school, college and career planning.  This site is for any student, no matter what his or her post-graduation plans are, whether college, work, apprenticeship, or the military.  Every student has been assigned a username and password.  The site also has a link to Method Test Prep, which is FREE online ACT and SAT test preparation.  In order to log on, use the Quick Links on the HS Guidance webpage.  If for any reason your log-in information does not work, contact your guidance counselor.
