Principal's Message

Welcome Back Letter 2023-2024

 Dear BCHS Students and Families,

We hope that you are having a great summer! We are excited to kick off the upcoming school year with our
students and families. Bloom-Carroll High School has a rich academic tradition that includes multiple learning
pathways and experiences with a faculty and staff who are dedicated to meeting the needs of all students.
BCHS students will be challenged to grow academically and socially as they are guided towards becoming
young men and women of good character and preparing them for life beyond High School and being College
and/or Career ready. The start of the upcoming school year is an exciting time and an excellent opportunity
for students to explore new activities, build on previous interests and skills, as well as create a promising
academic future. BCHS offers numerous opportunities to get involved in athletics, music, drama, clubs and
organizations. Getting students connected to school activities is an important part of their success and we
believe there is something for all students at BCHS.

For incoming freshmen and students new to the district, we welcome you to the Bulldog community and look
forward to meeting you soon. For our returning students, we look forward to helping prepare, challenge, and
empower you as you continue your journey with us. All of our BCHS students and families, grade 9-12, are
invited to our Back to School Bulldog Kick Off/Open House on Thursday, August 17, from 5:30 - 7:00. Join us
for a Meet and Greet with teachers and friends, Music, Free Food & Drinks, Student Schedule Pick up, Tours of
the Building, Kona Ice, and much more as we celebrate the start to the new school year-see attached flyer.

As parents, we hope you will continue to be an active part of your child’s education, make connections with
our teachers and get involved in their activities. Your involvement will increase your student’s motivation
academically and socially. There are many ways for parents to get involved in activities at BCHS, whether it’s
by supporting our athletics, the arts, FFA or various other clubs and activities, we encourage you to explore
these opportunities.

Finally, we want to thank you for your commitment to student success and invite you to our many BCHS
events throughout the 2023-2024 school year. We look forward to a very positive and productive year
together and encourage you to contact us if or when the need arises.
