It seems like it was just a few days ago that the class of 2025 came with their parents to the Middle School for 5th grade orientation.  When asked that evening how many were nervous about coming to the Middle School, most students (and parents) raised their hands.

It has been great getting to know these students. They seem to be settled in to their new surroundings and the 5th grade teachers report that they are a hardworking and considerate class.

When asked about the transition, here is what some of the students had to say:

Alaina Echelbarger: “Lunch is great! We’re able to sit wherever we want. And I like the microwaves!”

Olivia Johnson: “Fifth grade is wonderful. I like changing classes every 40 minutes. The teachers are really nice.”

Aaron Spradlin: “I like it. Switching to 9 classes is new and I have to remember to get the right stuff each period.”

Brennen Gough: “I like it over here! I like the teachers and having lockers. Oh, and the bathrooms are nicer!”

Brady Sommer: “It’s amazing! We get to switch classes so time goes by really fast. I like having my own locker, too
