BCIS Honors Our Veterans

Crowd of people

On Friday, November 10, 2017, the students and staff at BCIS celebrated Veteran's Day.   We had 200 Veterans and Active Military members and their family members attend our Veteran's Day celebration at Lithopolis United Methodist Church.   Our students created art work to honor our veterans and active military members as well as sang four songs in their honor.  In addition to singing, we had a group of students read letters they wrote to all veterans and active military members thanking them for their service.  The preschool students at BCIS made the decorations for our refreshment table.  After the ceremony, we had over 150 students and their veterans/active military family members stay for a tea party in their honor.  Tim Horton's, Das Kaffeehaus, Subway, and our staff provided fresh fruit, cookies, doughnuts, coffee, and water.  Our student council members served our guests.
