Principal's Message

Dear Families:

Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year!  I hope your summer was enjoyable and relaxing.  The staff is eager to welcome your children back to school.  We strive for a positive learning environment and experiences that have rigor.  Our goal is continued success in their educational journey.

For 2018-2019, there are some exciting new things at BCIS.  First, we have added a part-time guidance counselor/social worker to our staff.  This new position will focus on working with students individually or in a small group to address any emotional/social needs.  Second, Bloom-Carroll has hired a deputy sheriff to visit all district buildings throughout the day to ensure the safety of all students and staff.  Third, our title one teacher, Mrs. Ellen Kraner, will work with all third grade students and teachers to support reading and math instruction.  She will also be available to work with families to provide resources to use at home to help their children.

Communication between home and school is vital for ensuring student success.  All students at BCIS have agenda books that come home every night.  The agenda book will list all homework and notes from the classroom teacher.  Please read and sign the agenda book daily.

Parent volunteers are welcome at BCIS.  Please stop by the office and find out how you can volunteer.

I am excited for another great school year here at BCIS.  Our talented and dedicated staff are preparing the best learning experiences for all our students.

Please feel free to contact me with questions, concerns, and accomplishments!  We cannot do our job effectively without your partnership.  Let us make the 2018-2019 school year a great one!

Sincerely,

Steve Rozeski,
Principal
